It also enables you to demonstrate your professionalism and gain your bank\u2019s confidence, for example when you apply for a loan.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h2_1\" >Managing your personal finances<\/h2>\n<p>No responsible entrepreneur would ever neglect their company\u2019s finances. Why should it be any different for your personal finances? Manage them with the same methodology and using the same tools as for your business finances.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A personal statement of your assets and liabilities<\/strong>. This balance sheet provides you with snapshot of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my-life.lu\/en\/assess-and-plan-the-future-of-your-wealth-41001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your personal financial situation<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your recurring income streams<\/strong> (from your business, your investments, property rentals, etc.) and your projected expenditure (household expenses, savings and investments, <a href=\"https:\/\/my-life.lu\/en\/rethink-your-asset-allocation-based-on-your-life-goals-30134\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>life projects<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, etc.). This enables you to anticipate changes in your financial situation and make adjustments when necessary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Short and long-term objectives<\/strong>. Depending on your business objectives, you set aside funds to expand your activities, renew your company\u2019s equipment or innovate. Do the same thing for your personal assets. Excel spreadsheets are also available to be downloaded free of charge, but they are often limited to a list of inflows and outflows of money.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h2_2\" >Finding synergies<\/h2>\n<p>What is the smartest use of your profits? Should you reinvest them to grow your business or should you build up a financial portfolio?
