Before we continue, we must clarify that this article focuses on using your smartphone to make purchases, rather than as a platform for shopping online.<\/p>\n

Paying with your smartphone \u2013 simple and secure<\/h2>\n

It is indeed possible to pay using your smartphone, but \u2013 aside from the technological progress it represents \u2013 why would you? An obvious question, but a necessary one nonetheless.<\/p>\n

First and foremost, the main draw is its simplicity. You don\u2019t need to fish out your wallet and dig through your coins and notes, or remember the PIN for your bank card. It\u2019s a much faster and more practical way of paying, and this alone is enough of a reason to give it a go!<\/p>\n

In addition to its simplicity, it\u2019s also more secure than traditional means of payment. Neither party is at risk of theft, as no physical money is actually exchanged. Everything is done digitally.<\/p>\n

And while it\u2019s not unthinkable for your phone to get stolen, there\u2019s no need to worry \u2013 it\u2019s almost impossible for a thief to use your phone to make payments of their own. The systems are very secure, and each transaction requires the user to prove their identity with their fingerprint or a security code. This means that there is no way for the culprit to validate a payment.<\/p>\n
